This is compounded by the fact that the contractors that typically build such facilities have had less exposure to the commissioning process than others. Through new mandates in local regulations, coupled with the need to draw in tenants into “green” buildings through LEED accreditation or other objectives, this market is just starting to navigate through the challenges of producing a sustainable building, while maintaining value for their investors.
